Boat trip on the Skadar lake

Boat trip on the Skadar lake

We offer a selection of author excursions on a motorboat across Lake Skadar. These include private boat hire charged by the hour (with a minimum of 3 hours). The boat is entirely at your disposal, ensuring no other tourists join your chosen tour. We provide several unique, one-of-a-kind excursion routes along Skadar Lake, lasting from 1 to 6 hours.

Since our boats are quite small (they can carry up to 10 people), you have a perfect opportunity to explore the narrowest and most secluded parts of the lake, including river thickets, channels, and small streams with swift currents. This allows you to see and enjoy beautiful, inaccessible, and unique spots of the lake, such as nesting sites for rare birds. Additionally, we can visit ancient stone settlements, abandoned forts, temples on the lake's islands, and fishing villages. During the tour, you can also swim in the lake or watch birds like pelicans, cormorants, white or grey herons, storks, and others.

During the trip, we can visit one of the most picturesque parts of the lake—the village of Karuc, home to a famous historical and architectural monument from the early nineteenth century. We can explore the winter quarters of Bishop Peter I Petrovic Negos or enjoy the breathtaking view of the Crnojevica River. Alternatively, we can visit the ancient fortress of Zabljak Crnojevica or swim beneath the railway bridge past the island of Lesendro. We can also visit the Kom monastery, notable among island-built monasteries for its remoteness. In the sixteenth century, this was the metropolis of the Zetas, and during the Ottoman and Venetian periods, the monastery served a defensive purpose. You can see all this and much more when joining our excursions.

As they say, the choice of itinerary is yours, and believe me, it won't be easy...
