Becici Paragliding FAQ

Quick answers

How long is the airtime?

The usual planning frame is up to 15 minutes. Shorter airtime is possible in weaker weather; longer airtime is only a rare exception.

Can tandem paragliding happen year-round?

Yes. Tandem paragliding is possible year-round when conditions allow. What changes is the size of the usable day window.

What if weather changes at launch?

The pilot may wait, return down, move the plan to another time, or move it to another day. That is a safety decision, not a failed plan.

How does cancellation work?

Weather cancellation means a full refund. Participant cancellation and group deposits depend on timing and what was agreed before the outing.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing and secure shoes that will not slip off during launch or landing. A light wind layer helps when the air is cooler above the beach.

What is the hard weight limit?

Up to 99 kg. That is the main fixed physical limit.

Can children participate?

Sometimes, but only after checking conditions, age, height, weight, equipment fit, pilot assessment, and written permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Do non-flying companions need to go to launch?

Usually not. Many companions can stay around Bečići beach, the hotel area, or nearby cafes while the flight is checked and completed.

Before the answers

Use this FAQ when Bečići already fits as your base and one practical detail remains.

Below are the narrow FAQ questions: airtime, season, weather changes, clothing, cameras, children, cancellation, limits, and companion waiting.

Flight time and season

How long is the tandem paragliding airtime?

The usual planning frame is up to 15 minutes.

Treat that as the normal frame, not a promise that every flight reaches the maximum.

  • airtime can be shorter in weaker weather or if the pilot shortens the flight for comfort or safety
  • longer airtime is possible only in rare exceptions

Plan for the normal format, not the exception.

Can tandem paragliding happen year-round?

Yes. Flights are possible year-round when conditions allow.

What changes is the size of the usable day window:

  • winter: often around 11:00–12:00 to 15:00–16:00
  • spring and autumn: often around 11:00–17:00
  • summer: often around 9:00–18:00

The strongest typical thermal window is often around 12:00–15:00.

Weather, cancellation, and rescheduling

What if the weather changes after you reach launch?

That happens. Local conditions sometimes change by the time you reach the Brajići launch area.

Then the pilot decides whether it is safer to wait, return down, move the plan to another time, or move it to another day.

What happens with cancellation, refund, and no-show?

If weather cancels the flight, the refund is full.

In everyday practice a deposit is often not required — especially for simple individual requests. Deposit rules matter most for larger pre-arranged groups.

At a glance:

  • weather cancellation: full refund
  • participant cancellation more than 15 hours before the planned time: full refund
  • participant cancellation less than 15 hours before the planned time: no refund
  • groups of 4 or more: a 30% deposit may be requested in advance
  • no-show after a deposit: that deposit is normally not returned

For group deposits, the return follows the method agreed with the participant.

If someone does not cancel in advance and does not arrive at the meeting point, a deposit already taken is normally not returned. If you are running late, warn the team — a softer reschedule can still be possible if there is time.

Clothing, cameras, children, and fit

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.

The main requirement is secure footwear that will not slip off during launch or landing. Sneakers are the simple default.

Also useful: a light wind layer when needed, warmer clothing in winter, and sunglasses. At height, the air can feel about 5–10 degrees cooler than at sea level.

Do I need experience or fluent language skills?

No flying experience is needed.

The main briefing languages are English, Montenegrin, and Russian. The briefing is short and practical — launch, flight, and landing, not a long lecture.

Can I use my own phone or camera?

Often yes, if conditions and pilot assessment allow. Say in advance if you want to use your own device, and hold it securely.

The pilot may limit phone or camera use during launch, landing, or any moment when hands need to stay free.

If you prefer the simpler option, use the pilot action camera and take the SD card after landing. Inclusion details are on Becici Paragliding.

Is there a weight limit?

Yes. The hard limit is up to 99 kg.

Can children participate?

Sometimes, but it must be checked before choosing a day. Child participation depends on current conditions, age, height, weight, equipment fit, pilot assessment, and written permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Depending on age, a representative may also accompany the child to launch if that is genuinely necessary or if there is free space.
